Theramed Corporation signs an eight year extension with EUSA Pharma Ltd. for the exclusive right to import, market and distribute COLLATAMP® G in Canada

Mississauga, Ontario June 15, 2010 – Theramed Corporation announces an extension until March 31, 2018 of their exclusive right to import, market and distribute COLLATAMP® G in Canada. This was an extension of the original agreement assigned to Theramed in 2008 with EUSA Pharma Ltd.

COLLATAMP® G is used for local haemostasis of capillary, parenchymatous and seeping hemorrhages in areas with a high risk of infection. COLLATAMP® G contains gentamicin sulphate at a locally effective dose; systemically effective therapeutic blood or plasma levels are not generally achieved.

COLLATAMP® G is approved for sale in more than 50 countries and received a marketing authorization from Health Canada as a Class IV medical device on August 1, 2007. COLLATAMP® G has been used in over 2 million patients and has an exemplary patient safety history.

To date, COLLATAMP® G has been used by more than 100 hospitals in Canada and the rate of adoption is accelerating dramatically.
