The open-ended partnership was launched to the CSCRS membership in the inaugural issue of the CSCRS Newsletter, and subsequently affirmed at 2008 Canadian Surgery Forum in Halifax at the first presentation of the CSCRS Operating Grant Competition, in which $10,000 research grant was awarded by CSCRS President Dr. Cliffe Yaffe and Theramed Chief Commercial Officer, Stephen McElroy to winner Dr. Guillaume Martel.
Fittingly, this partnership comes during the historic 25th anniversary of the CSCRS as a registered society of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The efforts of Jasmin Lidington, Executive Director of the CSCRS are recognized as being critical in both the formation and daily operation of this partnership.
